Brand New Britain?
Can Britain renew or be called ‘brand new’ again, after the General Election? Where is Britain’s brand going?
The first of ei’s new Comment Conference series will bring together major opinion formers from business, policy, culture and media in a post-election discussion on the changing role of British business, Britain’s global brand and where it leaves trust in the UK’s reputation abroad.
The programme includes a live recording of BBC Radio 4’s The Bottom Line with Evan Davis for radio and TV.
Taking place on Tuesday 29th June 2010, and starting at Somerset House, participants will be taken to Canary Wharf via riverboat, and will finish with a drinks reception at the Design Museum.

Names Not Numbers is an international thought leader symposium which brings together opinion formers in media, academia, politics, business, culture and technology. Described by a senior Unilever executive as ‘a very British Davos’, it aims to set opinion as much as to reflect it.
The inaugural symposium took place at the iconic location of Portmeirion in February 2010 with the likes of Niall Ferguson, Alain de Botton, Annie Lennox, CEO of Starbucks, Darcy Willson-Rymer and David Aaronovitch to name but a few. Watch this space for Names Not Numbers 2011.
